I love when Spring hits the street!  Every year our pear trees look so pretty.  I missed the peak by a couple of days this year, but here is my traditional street-in-bloom photo!

I'm very excited about how filled out my weeping cherry is getting.

Springtime!

Doesn't Spring always feel like a miracle?  Getting outside, seeing the plants and flowers begin to turn green and bloom, the freshness in the air....

Daddy Turns 45!

For Daddy's milestone birthday we went to cousin Joey's Outback to eat, and followed it up with some homemade cupcakes back home, made by Mom of course!

We didn't want Daddy's lungs to explode trying blow out ALL THOSE CANDLES, so we only put like 15 candles on the cupcakes instead.

On a Rainy Spring Morning

Claire loves to head out to the school bus stop in the morning to watch Logan and the other neighborhood kids get on the bus.  She can't wait until she is old enough to ride the bus too!  Usually she heads right out in her PJs and bare feet, hair uncombed and looking like a wild child!  This picture was taken on March 2 this year, and the fact that her feet are bare must mean it was already a warm day. We had some crazy weather this winter!  Unfortunately the warm winter meant that in June and July of 2012 we had 10 straight days of 100+ degree heat!  Whew!

I love you, Claire Bear!  And your little bare feet and crazy hair and fairy umbrella!  You make my mornings with your cheery, goofy, silly self!

Meeting Stephen

In January, "Aunt" Katie flew in from Monterey, CA and brought her boyfriend Stephen home for all of us to meet!  We spent a fun weekend together and headed out to Chandler Hill winery for a relaxed gathering.

We love our Aunt Katie!  And it's hard to believe in January it was warm enough to go without coats!  Of course, as I'm posting this now it's 107 degrees outside here in St. Louis!  Ugh!

Love that cuz!  And a few months later, Katie announced that she and Stephen got ENGAGED!  Yippee!  We are happy to welcome Stephen into the family.  And now we get to plan a WEDDING!  FUN!
