On Friday after the kids I babysit went home we loaded in the (currently un-air conditioned) van and headed out to meet an old friend of mine who was in town with his family at the zoo. The zoo stays open late on Fridays in the summer - they have live bands playing for their "jungle boogie." Here is Claire, ready to go! (Right now any time you mention going somewhere, Claire starts heading for the door, saying, "wan' go....wan' go...")
Brian and I actually dated in high school - until he went off to college. I was two years behind him in school, so at that age I guess it was just too hard to keep up a long distance thing. I am so glad we can still get together with our families, though! He is a great guy and married to a wonderful, charming lady. We had a really good time together.

Brian got the awesome job of pushing the zoo stroller - sometimes with all four kids inside! Logan was very happy to have some new friends to hang out with.
