TKO 2010

Last year our neighbors and great friends, the Trohas, moved from their house next door and broke all our hearts! We were so lucky to have such great neighbors with such fun kids to hang out with! Since their departure we have stayed in pretty close contact with them and this year we decided to dedicate the first weekend in August to each other every year. I personally hope this pact lasts a long, long time!

We decided to name our annual event the TKO - for Troha-Koglin Outing. We even made up a logo and were going to make up t-shirts until we ran out of time (and energy). Oh well - we'll save that for another day! This year we rented little side by side cabins at Klondike Park in St. Charles County.

Daddy and Claire performing cabin inspections...

Our adorable cabin in the woods!

Baby Louis just hanging out on the porch.

The kids playing Play-Doh, thanks to Auntie Valerie!

Logan and Reagan getting that old feeling back over some corn on the cob....

Behold! Light!

There's the happy couple!

Take a good look at Claire...

....because a couple of hours around this....

...turned her into this!
EEK!

Logan poking at the fire - just like his mama!

What's a campout without s'mores?

The next day after VERY LITTLE sleep (thanks, Claire) we went fishing.

The dads getting the kids ready...

Would you check the cockleburs on this dog?? That's an hour's worth of shampooing and brushing when we return home, by the way...

Reagan and Cooper by the lake.

Valerie showing off her mad casting skilz! (Actually she couldn't get the pole to cast out at all!)

Keep trying!

Claire playing in the sand.

Obviously she has a great love of the outdoors.

Louis just hanging out again - man, you gotta love a low maintenance baby!

Skip and Logan

Claire says, "Cheese!"

Logan is explaining quantum theory....or something like that.

A sweet shot of Uncle Louie and Reagan.

Princess cooling off! It was HOT!

There's the gang!

After an unsuccessful round of fishing, we found a little playset to play on.

Our first annual TKO was a success!

Love,
Mama
